The first LWC Super Champ of 2025 took place at Lumpinee Stadium earlier today. It featured a main event between Thailand’s Saensak Phimaipongsatorn and Iran’s Ahmad Masouminia. The co-main event had Yodkaoklai Fairtex taking on Othman Rhouni.
Saensak was in complete control of his fight against Masouminia. It seemed the fight would end in the second round after two knockdowns due to high kicks, but Masouminia survived to make it to the third round. Saensak picked up right where he left off in the second round, and with less than 50 seconds left in the fight, a head kick from Saensak wobbled Masouminia, and the referee had seen enough and stopped the fight. It was a dominant performance from Saensak to secure the TKO win.
The co-main event featured a tightly contested fight between Yodkaoklai and Othman Rhouni. The first round went to Rhouni as he pressed the action, working behind solid body kicks. The second round saw Yodkaoklai slow things down by using the clinch and effectively scoring throughout the round. In the third round, Rhouni figured out how to not let Yodkaoklai capitalize in the clinch and was able to let loose with his kicks and punches. The judges awarded Rhouni the unanimous decision win after three rounds.
