The August 13th Stand Up Promotions event “World Class Championship Muay Thai” that will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA keeps getting bigger. Muay Thai Authority has been informed by sources close to the situation that a bout featuring Malaipet and Chike Lindsay has been added to the event, and that it will be for Malaipet’s WBC Muay Thai super welterweight international title.
Malaipet has hit a recent rough patch dropping three consecutive fights. In October of 2010 he dropped a decision to Xu Yan at Hero Legends in Malaysia, in December of 2010 he lost a decision to Kevin Ross at Stand Up Promotions “King’s Birthday Celebration”, and most recently in February he dropped a decision to Michael Mananquil at Lion Fight Promotions “Battle in the Desert”. Despite the recent rough patch Malaipet is always considered a threat in any fight, although the questions about how hard “The Diamond” has prepared for his fights will likely continue to circulate.
Also scheduled for the event is the much anticipated fight between Saenchai Sinbimuaythai and American Kevin Ross.
