The WLF World Championship 2015 took place this past weekend in China. The event featured a 63kg 4-man tournament with Zeqi Deng vs. Rungravee Sasiprapa and Wei Rui vs. Pakorn PK Saenchaimuaythaigym in the semi-finals.
Wei Rui was the tournament winner at the end of the night. He went toe-to-toe with Pakron in the semi-finals. It was a close fight, but Rui was just bit quicker on the trigger when it came to unleashing his strikes on Pakorn. When it was over it seemed Pakorn new he had not done enough to win and the judges agreed as Rui won a decision.
The other semi-final bout ended in a stunning knockout by Zeqi Deng. As the first round was coming to an end he clipped Rungravee with a right hand then put him out for a while. Rungravee was unable to get up immediately and had to be attended to by the ringside doctors before being able to make it out of the ring.
Rui and Deng were in a tight fight that resulted in the bout having to go an extra round where Rui won by (T)KO. Great performance by Rui in the tournament.
In other action Regian Eersel used some great knees to knockout Wang Anying in the second round of their bout and Marco Pique defated Wang Hesong by decision.
