Stipe Miocic Calls Out Amanda Nunes After UFC 232

The first ever Women’s UFC Superfight took place this morning, between Amanda Nunes and Cris Cyborg. After a heated 51 seconds, Nunes came out on top with a brutal KO of Cyborg. Stipe then released a tweet that everyone has taken the completely wrong way…

Stipe hasn’t fought since he lost to Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 and he has been asking for that rematch since. Still on the waiting list for that fight obviously, it seems he has called someone else out. This time unintentionally…

Right now, Amanda Nunes seems unstoppable. Mowing through Rousey in less than a minute then Cyborg in a similar time. It’s as if no one can touch her and rightfully so. Who is next for the Women’s ‘Double Champ’?

I think the answer you’re looking for is former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

‘Just Wait’

Ariel Helwani is one of the top MMA reporters and journalists. He keeps everyone up to date on things and rarely misses any news. After tweeting out that Nunes had just knocked out Cyborg in less than a minute, Stipe was quick to reply.

However, Stipe was also quick to be taken advantage of…

On first glance, it’s almost as if Stipe is going to challenge Nunes for one of her titles. Quite obviously that is not the case but we can dream of such a ludicrous thing. Something does tell us that Stipe would have a little trouble with the weight cut from 245lbs to 145lbs. Only a little struggle though.

Some of the replies to this tweet are hilarious and really shows how the MMA community comes together for things like this. To troll fighters…

This tweet though does signify a comeback for the former champ and he seems to be promising fireworks for his next fight. Against who though?

I no longer want to see a Cormier and Stipe rematch, I want to see Nunes vs. Stipe for the 145lbs belt. If there’s any trouble I suppose Nunes could move up?
