The main event for Rajadamnern World Series (RWS Muay Thai) this week featured Russia’s Aslanbek Zikreev taking on Thailand’s Diesel Liamtanawat.
Diesel seemed comfortable early on, but Aslanbek kept a strong pace throughout the fight, constantly applying pressure. In the third round, Aslanbek finished the fight after punches to the body seemed to hurt Diesel. Aslanbek then went to the head with punches and finished off a stumbling Diesel with a knee to the head to secure the third-round Knockout.
The co-main event featured Japan’s Renta Matsui taking on Iran’s Ramtin Manafi. This fight was a barn burner. Renta seemed to edge out the first two rounds, but they were close. In the third round, Ramtin connected with a big right that dropped Renta. Despite going down, Renta was more than happy to continue to exchange after getting back to his feet. They stood toe-to-toe for the remainder of the third round, and it seemed that Ramtin was getting the better of the exchanges. In the end, the fight was ruled a majority draw.
In other action on the main card, Israel’s Maxim Branis took home a unanimous decision win over Australia’s Carter Lawrence. Japan’s Ramu Araya scored a first-round knockout over Radwan Boulanouar.
On the prelims, Marie Ruumet picked up a unanimous decision win over Looknam Kor. Komkliaw to secure the Rajadamnern Stadium female bantamweight title. Vincent Wiktora scored a first-round knockout over Mohammad Kanani, and Linda Faysal picked up a unanimous decision win over Hongthong Kor. Prasertgym.
