Glory has announced a massive tournament they are calling “Last Heavyweight Standing.” The tournament will feature 32 fighters.
The tournament will kick off at Glory 99 on April 5, 2025, at the Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands. Taking place over five events, the 16 winners of the 32-man opening round will then be placed into 4-man tournaments. Four winners will then secure their spot in the final eight.
The remaining four spots in the final eight will be secured by fighters who make it out of a 24-man tournament and then win one of three 4-man tournaments, with the final spot being secured by a wild card participant. The final eight will battle it out in a one-night tournament to determine the winner.
“GLORY is the only place in the world where you could see 32 of the baddest heavyweights on the planet put it all on the line in the ‘Last Heavyweight Standing’ tournament, the biggest of its kind in combat sports history,” said Marshal Zelaznik, GLORY CEO. “Today we are announcing a host of exciting names and we have more to follow in the coming days. The tournament brings excitement for fight fans globally and a career defining opportunity for the fighters. This will be a true test of the fighter heart & spirit.”
