Following UFC 229 and the punishments issued by Dana White, there has been an uproar amongst some of the UFC’s roster. It all started from one post from Khabib…
UFC 229 Featured exciting fights throughout the entire card, yes even the aftermath of the main event. If you haven’t heard, Khabib smashed McGregor for 4 rounds into a submission victory. Following this, he went on a serial killing rampage attacking Conor’s training partner Dillon Danis. Only to then be escorted out of the arena by multiple police officers. Crazy.
Nate Diaz has already stated how he would like to fight Khabib. After his opponent, Dustin Poirier pulled out of UFC 230.
Dana White issued a series of punishments to members of the Russian team creating a huge controversy over McGregor striking a member of Khabib’s team first and as to why any of the Irishman’s team haven’t received bans. But this escalated after a post to social media from Khabib.
Explosion of Drama
Khabib released a statement today regarding his thoughts on the lifetime bans from the UFC his fellow Russians received after their involvement in the UFC 229 incident. Zuybara Tukhugov traded punches with McGregor in the Octagon after the fight. he was allegedly meant to be fighting ironically, Conor’s teammate Artem Lobov who was the spar of the Notorious bus incident in Brooklyn.
This is the part where it gets crazy. Khabib threatened to quit the UFC if his ‘brother’ isn’t reinstated and allowed to fight in the UFC again.

I would like to address @ufc Why didn't you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple of people? They could have killed someone there, why no one says anything about insulting my homeland, religion, nation, family? Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought. If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started. In any case, punish me, @zubairatukhugov has nothing to do with that. If you think that I’ll keep silent then you are mistaken. You canceled Zubaira’s fight and you want to dismiss him just because he hit Conor. But don’t forget that it was Conor who had hit my another Brother FIRST, just check the video. if you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise I'll break it myself. And one more thing, you can keep my money that you are withholding. You are pretty busy with that, I hope it won’t get stuck in your throat. We have defended our honor and this is the most important thing. We intend to go to the end. #Brothers
This has sparked a huge fire in the 155lbs division bringing Stockton’s own Nate Diaz into the mix to get himself involved in all the drama. He tweeted out his own ‘threat’ as such that said.

Is Nate capable of sarcasm? Or is he simply just a genius at getting involved in things? Besides a fight between Nate and Khabib could be the next biggest thing. We know Nate sticks to his guns and he has said “I’ll just fight Khabib when he’s ready” to Ariel Helwani. So for all we know we could not be seeing the 209 Gangster return until Khabib fights him. If Khabib stays with the UFC that is.
