Kunlun Fight continues to put on events at a blazing pace. Kunlun Fight 40 took polace today in Tongling, China.
The night featured two more blocks of qualifying for their 70kg tournament. In block E Superbon Banchamek won the tournament with two knockouts. He scored a third round knockout over Chen Cheng in his semi-final bout and then a second round knockout over Martin Gano in the tournamnet final.
In block F South Korea’s Lee Sung Hyun scored a (T)KO in his semi-final bout to advance to the finals against Chris Ngimbi. In the final he was able to out point Ngimbi to win a decision.
In other action Khayal Khayal Dzhaniev scored a KO win in the first round over Li Xianchao. Dzhabar Askerov and Warren Stevelmans fought in the tournament alternate fight, but their bout ended in a draw after an extra round.
It was interesting to note that no Chinese fighter won at Kunlun Fight. This continue to dispel the old theories that Chinese fighters get favoritism from promotions in China. None of the six Chinese fighters in action won their bouts on the night.
