Joe Schilling vs. Mike Lemaire will headline the Glory 27 Super Fight Series on February 26th at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
The bout announcement come shortly after it was revealed that Glory signed a deal for the Super Fight portion of their events to air live on UFC Fight Pass. It also shuffles things around a bit for the fight card. Mike Lemaire was originally scheduled to compete in the night’s 4-man tournament, but has now been replaced by Glory newcomer Karl Roberson against Dustin Jacoby.
Lemaire is coming off of two consecutive wins at Lion Fight, while Schilling is also on a two fight win streak having defeated Robert Thomas and Jason Wilnis for Glory. A few months ago it seemed that Schilling would not be stepping back into the Glory ring anytime soon as his deal with Bellator owned Viacom kept him from fighting with the promotion when they left Spike TV.
This will easily be Lemaire’s biggest fight and depending on what Schilling’s long term plans are a bout with the middleweight champion should follow if he can pick up a win and continues to fight for Glory.
