Joe Rogan is one of the most popular combat sports personalities, on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ (his podcast) he has some of the worlds biggest sports stars as guests. Recently he had WBC Champion Deontay Wilder on his show and they talked boxing. They both had interesting things to say about Anthony Joshua…

Seeing as Anthony Joshua holds 4 of 5 Boxing Championship belts, it’s only right he fights Deontay Wilder for the WBC title to see the true king of Heavyweight. Obviously, that hasn’t happened yet with AJ facing Povetkin and Wilder fighting Fury, then the news of a Fury vs. Wilder rematch being ordered by the WBC.

So the likelihood of this fight happening anytime soon is pretty low. However, this didn’t stop Rogan and Wilder from throwing criticism towards AJ regarding all of this…

“No one gives a f*ck”

Rogan, having to be completely neutral in his occupation of commentating in the UFC, means he gives his opinion whenever he can outside of the job. Speaking with Deontay Wilder he held nothing back when talking about Joshua. (Quotes courtesy of MMA Mania)

“He looks terrible. He’s gonna fight some other guy, and no one gives a fuck. And it’s like, your titles, whatever titles you got, they’re bullshit! They don’t mean anything! Everybody knows this is where the real title is! It’s a wrap now.”

Wilder also revealed on the podcast that Joshua and his team had tried reaching out previously to try and book a fight between the two. However, failed negotiations between the two have led to no fight managing to be booked.

This fight has the potential to generate huge numbers, the two fighters have been at each other’s throats for a very long time and the matchup is good. Maybe Joshua has seen holes in Wilder’s game from the Fury fight and looks to capitalise on them should the day come that they finally fight…
