So, you’ve heard about the Floyd Mayweather fight against Tenshin Nasukawa taking place on New Year and you currently have no idea who his opponent is? Well, we’re here to tell you everything you need to know before New Year comes.
Beforehand, how crazy is the fact that he’s fighting Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. A kickboxer/MMA fighter against a boxer, in an MMA fight… How one-sided does it get?
Nasukawa is only 20 years old and is already regarded as one of the most dangerous and best kickboxers in the world. He has already competed in MMA before too. Mayweather has said before he believes his wrestling shouldn’t be slept on, training with current UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley his wrestling shouldn’t be dreadful, but what do we know.
Tenshin Nasukawa began fighting at the age of five years old. Before turning pro he had an amateur record of 99 wins (62 knockouts) to only 5 losses and 1 draw. Then turning professional and accumulating a very impressive 27-0 Kickboxing record (20 knockouts) and a 4-0 MMA record. So he is no stranger to fighting but neither to losing. Something Mayweather is.
Not only has he just beaten 27 opponents as a pro, but he has also beaten prominent Muay Thai champion Wanchalong PK Senchaigym while he was still a student. That is talent.
He relates his style to that of popular video game characters ‘Ryu’ and ‘Ken’ in ‘Street Fighter’ using a variety of spinning kicks and power shots, replicating the styles from these games. He literally is a kid who plays video games and loves cartoons.

Never judge anyone by their size as you can quite clearly see here. He has multiple hobbies outside the ring like fishing and playing guitar. As much of a killer as he is in the ring, he seems harmless outside of it. He had this to say regarding his skill and odds in the Mayweather fight. (Quotes courtesy of Business Insider)
“I have punches of timing that boxers do not have. The [weight] class is also different, but it does not matter to me now. I will do KO for the first time that nobody could do in the world. I will change the world with my own fist.”
