Boxing Legend Warns Dana White About Fighting Oscar De La Hoya

So, recently Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya have been at each other’s throats. With back and forth jabs at one another, this all stemmed from the Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz 3 fight under Golden Boy MMA. Dana didn’t like it and De La Hoya disagreed…

As far as we are aware, Dana White has no serious background in combat sports. We do know, however, that Oscar De La Hoya is a former professional Boxer and was also very good.

Now De La Hoya and White are insulting each other every day it was only a matter of time before a fight between the two was brought up. We just weren’t sure who would bring it up first. Then The Golden Boy offered to fight Dana in a boxing bout next May, stating he doesn’t care about the weight etc.

“Don’t Take The Challenge”

Seeing as Shane Mosley has fought ‘The Golden Boy’ twice, and won twice. His advice may just be the best to take for the UFC boss.

De La Hoya on the ‘Luke Thomas Show’ said “Let’s get in the ring. Three rounds. Let’s do this.” An interesting offer there to finally sort out the beef between the two.

Now it’s what De La Hoya’s former opponent had to say that could turn the tables for anyone thinking Dana could’ve taken on De La Hoya in the ring. Quotes courtesy of TMZ Sports.

“He’s never boxed before, don’t take the challenge, I wouldn’t do that. That wouldn’t be a smart move. He would get his ass beat”

As simple as that. He even went as far as saying even with 1 on 1 Boxing training with him, he still wouldn’t stand a chance. Shane did say that he would want to see the fight, but with MMA rules over Boxing. Sounds like Mayweather McGregor all over again…

What would you like to see, Boxing or MMA? Scratch that, do you even want this to happen at all? Or should the hatchet just be buried already?
