Tenshin Nasukawa Responds To Conor McGregor’s Challenge To Fight

Tenshin Nasukawa might have been unsuccessful in his latest fight but people are still talking about him. One person of particular interest, Conor McGregor, mention Tenshin earlier today…

Japanese kickboxing and MMA star Tenshin Nasukawa has been in the headlines a lot lately. Since turning professional, Nasukawa was yet to taste defeat until last weekend. Although it was officially an exhibition bout and so he remains undefeated, Tenshin was knocked out.

It wasn’t your run of the mill fight, it was a boxing match against one of the best technical and defensive boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather. “Money” took on Nasukawa at the Rizin New Year’s Eve show in a three-round boxing exhibition bout.

Mayweather only needed one round to dispatch the hometown hero, although the first round stoppage wasn’t met without a measure of skepticism. Many fans tore into the fight as they called it a “fix,” regardless of the status of an exhibition bout.

Floyd Mayweather wasted no time in getting to work. He battered Tenshin Nasukawa to the canvas three times before the Japanese fighter’s corner threw in the towel…

What’s Next, Conor McGregor vs Tenshin Nasukawa? Well…

After ripping Mayweather for his part in the fight, Conor McGregor has since expressed a different opinion. Perhaps honing in on the fact his American rival essentially made $9 million for a sparring match, McGregor issued a challenge.

Taking to Instagram, “The Notorious” politely challenged Tenshin to a bash in Japan. He requested specifically it be under MMA rules:

Tenshin’s Response Below

Tenshin, in a similarly polite way, told McGregor he would happily fight him, but not under MMA rules:

Dear Mr. McGregor. Thank you very much for remembering my name. I’m honored that you would even consider fighting me.

58kg, kickboxing rules would probably get us in the ring sometime in the near future 👍

I will fight my RISE world GP this year so please watch your diet and wait for me!

The Circus Continues

Fighters continue to challenge cross-promotions, sometimes cross-sports, and it all started with Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor. The question is where will it end?
