WATCH: Israel Adesanya’s Striking Was on Another Level Last Night

Israel Adesanya returned last night in Vegas…

Israel Adesanya stepped into the Octagon at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale and silenced his critics with a dominant performance…

The Nigerian born fighter is known for his striking ability, and many critics thought it was too soon to face a ranked fighter like Brad Tavares. Apparently, Adesanya did not get the memo. He made it look effortless in the cage as he outstruck Tavares with ease.

He controlled the pace of the fight a picked Tavares apart with some beautiful striking.

Despite Adesanya’s dominance, Tavares kept trying to fight back but after a beautiful elbow from Adesanya opened a cut over his eye midway through the fight it seemed he lost his steam. He tried to move forward but was continuously running into strikes from Adesanya. He was able to make it to the final bell, but only to make the obvious official.

That was a unanimous decision win for Israel Adesanya.

Israel Adesanya On Fire

The confidence of Israel Adesanya is at an all-time high and rightfully so. It will be interesting to see who the UFC pairs him up against next. The sky is clearly the limit for him and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him earn a title shot in the near future.

The Ultimate Fighter 27 lightweight final was an odd affair. Mike Trizano and Joe Giannetti had a close fight the first two rounds, with the fight most likely being even going into the final round. Trizano came out with a sense of urgency, while Giannetti oddly enough seemed to care less about trying to win the fight.

It was quite disappointing to see a talented guy like Giannetti lose in the final because of what seemed to be lack of desire. Trizano ended up winning the fight by split decision and the UFC contract.

Beautiful Elbow

In the featherweight final, Brad Katona dominated Jay Cucciniello for three rounds. Katona knocked Cucciniello down in the first two rounds of the fight and then dominated him on the ground.

When this fight was over there was no question who the featherweight winner of the The Ultimate Fighter 27 would be, and the judges agreed by awarding him a unanimous decision. The Biggest question coming from the TUF 27 finale is clearly about Adesanya’s next fight.

Having now thoroughly dominated a top 10 middleweight in Tavares, could a top 5 fight await ‘Stylebender?’
