Warren Stevelmans replaces Shemsi Beqiri against Ky Hollenbeck at Glory 12 this weekend

Ky Hollenbeck and Shemsi Beqiri were set to face off in the tournament reserve bout of the Glory 12 lightweight tournament this weekend in New York, but Beqiri has withdrawn from the bout for reasons unknown. Stepping in to replace Beqiri is Warren Stevelmans.

Hollenbeck will look to win his second bout in as many fights after returning from ACL surgery. He returned from his surgery at Glory 10 on short notice to defeat Albert Kraus by decision. Stevelmans has fought a who’s who in his career, but is currently on a three fight losing streak. His last appearance for Glory was a decision loss to Albert Kraus at Glory 5.

Glory 12 takes place this Saturday at the theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

Today he captured the fighter weigh-ins for the MPL, the “Stars and Stripes”, the event features a who’s who of Muay Thai talent and takes place Friday Sept. 2nd at The Pyramid in Long Beach, CA.

Buakaw vs. Warren Stevelmna set for the Muaythai Premier League’s “Stars & Stripes” event September 2nd in Long Beach, CA

Buakaw Por. Pramuk has was originally scheduled to face Dzhabar Askerov at the Muaythai Premier League’s inaugural event, but Askerov was pulled from the card. Now scheduled to face Buakaw at the Muaythai Premier League’s “Stars & Stripes” event which will take place at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, CA is South African fighter Warren Stevelmnas. Muay Thai Authority has confirmed the reports of this match-up with Muaythai Premier League president Clifton Brown.

Other fighters currently scheduled to make fight on the September 2nd event include Yodsanklai Fairtex, Julie Kitchen, Nathan Corbett, Yohan Lidon, and Marco Pique. The Muaythai Premier League’s “Starts & Stripes” event without a doubt has assembled the greatest amount of talent on a single card to ever land on U.S. soil.
