The K-1 World GP in Japan took place in Japan this past weekend. The 154lb (70kg) 8-man tournament was the vents main attraction. The eight man field that included names like Dylan Salvador, Sanny Dahlbeck (@SannyDahlbeck), Marat Grigorian, and Jordann Pikeur came down to Grigorian and Pikeur in the tournament final. Grigorian ended up the tournament winner with a first round KO of Pikeur. Up next for Grigorian, will be a crack at the Top King GP crown later this month.


In other action on the night Keaw Faritex scored a unanimous decision over Yasoumi Soda and Koya Urabe defeated Konstantin Trishin by unanimous decision.

Top King World Series: TK4 is set for July 28th in Hong Kong, China. The feature the semi-finals to the Top King 154lb Tournament. The four remaining participants in the Top King World Series Tournament are fan favorite Buakaw Banchamek (@BuakawBanchamek), Reece McAllister (@MuayThaiReece), Marat Grigorian, and Khayal Dzhaniev. The four fighters entered the tournament as part of a 16-man field and are now two fights away from winning the entire thing. As usual when he competes, Buakaw is considered the favorite to win the entire tournament.

The event will also feature a stacked card with several notable fighters. Other match ups include Pakorn Sakyothin vs. Dmitry Varats, Rungravee Sasiprapa vs. Mathias Gallo Cassarino (@MathiasGalloC), and Matt Embree (@Muay_Matics) vs. Sittisak Petchpayathai.

Top King World Series took place today in Hong Kong. The event featured the likes of Muay Thai stars Buakaw, Sangmanee, Sam-A, Pornsanae and many others.


The event takes place in a tournament format with each round taking place in a single event, together with superfights, each event in succession until a winner is crowned. Top King World Series uses its own “TK Rules,” allowing clinching, elbows and knees down the middle, with knees to the opponents side not scoring at all.

The match ups for the Top King World Series Final 8 have been announced. The event which takes place on December 20th in Hong Kong has a strong field of competitors. Buakaw Banchamek vs. Dmytro Konstantynov and Andrei Kulebin vs. Khayal Dzhaniev will make up one side of the tournament bracket, while the other side will feature Niclas Larsen vs. Marat Grigorian and Reece McAllister vs. Marcin Parcheta. 

Buakaw is of course the favorite to win the tournament, but it is definitely a talented field. Niclas Larsen demolished Vladamir Konsky in their quarterfinal fight and is definitely a dark horse in this tournament. With tournaments anything can happen, but with this field fireworks are definitely going to be taking place.

Top King World Series 3 will take place on December 20th in Hong Kong, China. The second installment of Top King World Series took place last night in France. Four fights of the 154lb tournament as well a some super fights featuring some big names in Muay Thai. 

In the tournament Marat Grigorian, Niclas Larsen, Marcin Parcheta, and Reece McAllister all advanced with their wins. Grigorian scored a decision over Abraham Roqueni while Larsen, Parcheta and McAllister all scored knockouts to advance.
In the super fights Buakaw Banchamek dismantled Steve Moxon. Buakaw was in full control of this fight as he knocked Moxon down several times before finishing him in the third round with an elbow. Thongchai Sistonpeenong was also victorious on the night after out pointing Djime Coulibaly to win a decision.

Glory Sports International puts forward Glory 15, set for Ülker Sports Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. The event will be headlined by a lightweight bout in Robin Van Roosmalen vs. Marat Grigorian.  Van Roosmalen last fought in Glory 12’s 4-Man Lightweight tournament, suffering a KO loss to Andy Ristie. Marat Grigorian makes his second Glory appearance, with a win over Alex Vogel and a No Contest against Chingiz Allazov. Grigorian would go ahead and avenge the NC ruling by defeating Allazov in a subsequent bout under the Victory banner.

Also on the card is a 4-man heavyweight tournament with fighters Tyrone Spong vs. Saulo Cavalari and Gokhan Saki vs. Nathan Corbett. All 4 fighters have proven the power and willingness to exchange, which all but guarantees the intensity of any matchup between them.
