Top King World Series TK7 Results: Kem Sitsongpeenong and Khayal Dzhaniev advance

Top King World Series held TK7 today in Ningbo, China. It featured the quarterfinals of the Top King Super Welterweight Tournament.

Khayal Dzhaniev

All of the tournament fights went the distance with tournament favorites Kem Sitsongpeenong and Khayal Dzhaniev both advancing to the semi-finals. Kem defeated Sergey Kulyabu, while Dzhaniev defeated Sergio Mazzetti. Joining them in the semi-finals are Liu Lei who defeated Saeid Chahardouli and Jimmy Vienot who defeated Dmitry Varets.

In the night’s non tournament bouts Thongchai Sitsongpeenong scored a stoppage victory over Adrien Rubis, while Rungrat Sasiprapa came up short in a decision loss to Vahid Shahbazi.

Kunlun Fight 32 fight card, Buakaw and Davit Kiria in action

Kunlun Fight 32 takes place on October 28th in Hai Zhou, China. The event will feature some big names as usual. Buakaw Banchamek returns to action against Hui Gu in a Muay Thai fight. Former Glory Champion Davit Kiria will also be in action as part of Kunlun Fight’s Middleweight Top 16 tournament which will be under Kickboxing rules.

Buakaw returns to action the first time since he was upset by Khayal Dzhaniev in the semi-finals of the Top King World Series tournament this past July. Before the loss the Dzhaniev, Buakaw had been on a five fight win streak and has been victorious in 37 of his last 39 fights. Fans should be excited to see one of the Muay Thai and Kickboxing world’s favorite fighters return to action.

David Kiria will face David Clavo as part of the Top 16 tournament, the other bout that is part of the tournament will be Dzianis Zuyeu vs. Shuai Zhao. The tournament is has a great field as Yodsanklai is expected to fight as part of it a few days later at Kunlun Fight 33.

Yodsanklai vs. Dzhabar Askerov set for Kunlun Fight 33

Yodsanklai Fairtex and Dzhabar Askerov are set to fight at Kunlun Fight 33 in Hunan, China on October 31st. Their bout will be part of Kunlun Fight’s Middlweight Top 16 Tournament.

Yodsanklai will be looking to expand his current 20 fight win streak. He last competed at Origins 7 in Australia where he defeated Marco Tentori by decision. Yodsanklai has finished 12 of his 20 opponents during his current win streak. The Thai great has revived his career in the last three years and is one of the biggest Muay Thai fighters in the world.

Askerov will be looking to win his fourth consecutive fight when he faces Yodsanklai. In his last ring appearance he won the Kunlun Fight 29 Middleweight Tournament. He scored a huge victory by KO over Enriko Kehl in the semi-finals of the tournament.

It should be an exciting fight between Yodsanklai and Askerov as neither fighter backs down. Askerov has great boxing and his style is great for the Kickboxing rule set, Yodsanklai has adapted to fighting Kickboxing or Muay Thai rules without and issue and is more than willing to get in to heated exchanges with his opponents.

Hero Legends set for January 3rd in China with Simon Marcus, Artur Kyshenko, Mike Zambidis and Yodsanklai

Hero Legends is expected to take place January 3, 2014 in Jinan, China and it seems some big names are slated for the card. Artur Kyshenko, Simon Marcus, Mike Zambidis and Yodsanklai Fairtex are all expected to fight at the event.

The only two fighters with their opponents confirmed are Zambidis and Marcus. Zambidis is expected to fight Xu Yan while Marcus is expected to fight Shifu Yanzi. The fight for Zambidis will be his first since August. Marcus recently competed in Argentina where he defeated Damian Bujan by decison.

Hero Legends is supported by the Chinese government and the International Centre of Culture and Communication. The event will be broadcast in China on the channel CCTV-5.

Fight card for C3 event in China featuring Simon Marcus vs. Dmitry Valent

It was reported a few days ago that Simon Marcus and Dmitry Valent would fight at an upcoming co-promoted WCK Muay Thai event in China. More information on the event is now available.

The event, which is called C3 will take placed in Chengdu, China on April 27th, and in addition to Marcus vs. Valent will feature American favorite Lena Ovchynnikova vs. Tang Jin and Li Baoming vs. Dankao Sakada. A four man tournament will also take place at the event.

Simon Marcus vs. Dmitry Valent set for April 27th in China

Simon Marcus will return to action on April 27th against Dmitry Valent in a WCK Muay Thai co-promoted card in China.

Marcus will look to keep his perfect record intact when he meets Valent in what should be an entertaining fight for fans. Marcus recently defeated Artem Levin at Lion Fight 9 in Las Vegas, NV by decision and is now widely considered the best light heavyweight in the world and the best fighter out of North America. Marcus will look to try and improve to 33-0, while Valent will look to derail the hot streak that Marcus is currently riding.

Simon Marcus picks up two wins in China

Simon Marcus picked up two victories in China yesterday (4/21) at Qianjiang World Muay Thai King Challenge. The event which took place in Beijing, China featured Simon Marcus fighting Green Spangler and Shuai. This was not a tournament; Marcus would fight each opponent back to back without any rest in between fights. His opponents did not fight anyone else on the night. In his first match with Spangler, Marcus won via (T)KO after he launched a flurry of strikes. Marcus followed up the (T)KO with a decision win over Shuai, although Shuai was game and able to make it to the end of the bout it was clear that Marcus was the superior fighter. With the two wins, Marcus keeps his undefeated record (27-0) in tact and can now turn his attention to preparing for his re-match against Joe Schilling at Lion Fight Muay Thai VI in Las Vegas on May 12th.

Ky Hollenbeck vs Vuyisile Colossa likely for April

Rumors circulating about a bout between Ky Hollenbeck and Yohan Lidon for the WBC Muay Thai middleweight title, were shut down by the WBC Muay Thai. Hollenbeck will not be fighting Yohan Lidon for a the WBC Muay Thai middleweight title.

Sources close to the situation have informed Muay Thai Authority that Hollenbeck is actually expected to fight Vuyisile Colossa from South Africa in late April for the WCK Muay Thai middleweight world title.

Colossa is a seasoned fighter that has fought the likes of Yodsanklai Fairtex (4x), Armen Petrosyan, Dmitry Valent, and Naruepol Fairtex. In his four fights with Yodsanklai he was able to defeat him once.

The fight would be the first of the year for Hollenbeck after putting together an amazing 2010 campaign. In December he won the WCK 4-man middleweight tournament with wins over Pavel Obozny, and Steve Moxon. Unfortunately for most fans they will still have to wait to see Hollenbeck fight state side as this bout is scheduled to take place on Hainan Island, China.
