Kunlun Fight 32 Results: Buakaw returns with a KO win

Kunlun Fight 32 took place today in China and it marked the return of Buakaw Banchamek. Stepping in to take on the Thai powerhouse was China’s Gu Hui.

It didn’t take long for Buakaw to establish his dominance in the ring. He scored a first round knock down of Hui with a head kick, afterwards Buakaw went on the attack attempting to finish the fight. He threw every strike with bad intentions, but Hui made to the second round. In the second round Buakaw started to attack the body of Hui with knees eventually putting him out for good. With the win Buakaw bounces back from his loss to Khayal Dzhaniev at Top King World Series 4 this past July.

In the two fights that were part of the Middleweight Top 16 Tournament Victor Nagbe and Davit Kiria were both victorious. Kiria, the former Glory Lightweight Champion bested Spain’s David Calvo, while Nagbe defeated Dzianis Zuev.

Kunlun Fight 32 fight card, Buakaw and Davit Kiria in action

Kunlun Fight 32 takes place on October 28th in Hai Zhou, China. The event will feature some big names as usual. Buakaw Banchamek returns to action against Hui Gu in a Muay Thai fight. Former Glory Champion Davit Kiria will also be in action as part of Kunlun Fight’s Middleweight Top 16 tournament which will be under Kickboxing rules.

Buakaw returns to action the first time since he was upset by Khayal Dzhaniev in the semi-finals of the Top King World Series tournament this past July. Before the loss the Dzhaniev, Buakaw had been on a five fight win streak and has been victorious in 37 of his last 39 fights. Fans should be excited to see one of the Muay Thai and Kickboxing world’s favorite fighters return to action.

David Kiria will face David Clavo as part of the Top 16 tournament, the other bout that is part of the tournament will be Dzianis Zuyeu vs. Shuai Zhao. The tournament is has a great field as Yodsanklai is expected to fight as part of it a few days later at Kunlun Fight 33.

Action Pro Gear KO of the Week: Buakaw vs. Rustem Zaripov

In the Action Pro Gear KO of the Week we have a vicious finish by Muay Thai legend Buakaw. He took on Rustem Zaripov at Thai Fight in 2012 and as fans have become accustomed to he delivered a dominant performance.

He battered Zaripov and in the second round finished him a flurry of strikes that sent Zaripov to the canvas for good.

Top King World Series: TK4 Results – Buakaw loses, McAllister wins tournament

Top King World Series: TK4 took place today in Hong Kong, China and it lived up to expectations. The Top King 154 lb title was on the line and the semi-final match ups did not disappoint. Reece McAllister punched his ticket to the tournament final by taking a decision over Dmytro Konstantynov.

In the other semi-final bout all eyes were on Buakaw Banchamek, who was expected by many to win the tournament. Khayal Dzhaniev was not one of those people as he went toe to toe with the Thai for three rounds. He opened up a cut on the left side of Buakaw’s head which bled throughout the fight. Both men delivered powerful strikes throughout the bout, using their entire arsenal. When it was all over the judges awarded Dzhaniev the decision victory to advance to the finals.

Reece McAllister was declared the Top King World Series 154 lb Champion when Khayal Dzhaniev was not able to fight in the tournament final due to injuries sustained in his semi-final bout.

In the night’s super fights Rungravee Sasiprapa scored a decision win over Wei Ning Hui. Pakorn P.K. Saenchai Muaythai Gym defeated Varats Dzmitry by decision. Canadian Matt Embree scored a first round (T)KO over Sittisak Petchapayathai. Embree dropped Sittisak with a right hook, and after he was back on his feet applied pressure until the bout was stopped.

Top King World Series: TK4 set for July 28 in Hong Kong

Top King World Series: TK4 is set for July 28th in Hong Kong, China. The feature the semi-finals to the Top King 154lb Tournament. The four remaining participants in the Top King World Series Tournament are fan favorite Buakaw Banchamek (@BuakawBanchamek), Reece McAllister (@MuayThaiReece), Marat Grigorian, and Khayal Dzhaniev. The four fighters entered the tournament as part of a 16-man field and are now two fights away from winning the entire thing. As usual when he competes, Buakaw is considered the favorite to win the entire tournament.

The event will also feature a stacked card with several notable fighters. Other match ups include Pakorn Sakyothin vs. Dmitry Varats, Rungravee Sasiprapa vs. Mathias Gallo Cassarino (@MathiasGalloC), and Matt Embree (@Muay_Matics) vs. Sittisak Petchpayathai.

Top King World Series 3 Quarterfinal Match Ups Announced

The match ups for the Top King World Series Final 8 have been announced. The event which takes place on December 20th in Hong Kong has a strong field of competitors. Buakaw Banchamek vs. Dmytro Konstantynov and Andrei Kulebin vs. Khayal Dzhaniev will make up one side of the tournament bracket, while the other side will feature Niclas Larsen vs. Marat Grigorian and Reece McAllister vs. Marcin Parcheta.

Buakaw is of course the favorite to win the tournament, but it is definitely a talented field. Niclas Larsen demolished Vladamir Konsky in their quarterfinal fight and is definitely a dark horse in this tournament. With tournaments anything can happen, but with this field fireworks are definitely going to be taking place.

Top King World Series 3 will take place on December 20th in Hong Kong, China. KO of the Week: Buakaw Banchamek vs. Steve Moxon

Buakaw returned to action at Top King World Series II – TK2 France this past weekend against Steve Moxon. It was Buakaw’s first fight since his controversial loss in the finals of the K-1 Max tournament last month. Buakaw was definitely in beast mode this fight as he out classed Moxon throughout the fight before finishing him with an elbow in the third round.

Moxon is one of Australia’s top fighters but this fight shows how dangerous Buakaw is in the ring. Check it out and enjoy this fight and the finish.

Video: Buakaw loses to Enriko Kehl

Buakaw suffered his first loss in nearly five years today. In the finals of the K-1 World Max Tournament Buakaw and Enriko Kehl fought three hard rounds, it seemed Buakaw was headed to another victory but the judges ruled the bout a draw. A fourth round was needed to determine a winner, but by the time the decision was announced Buakaw was no longer in the ring. The victory was awarded to Enriko Kehl by disqualification due to forfeit.

It was definitely a strange sequence because in the video footage you never see Buakaw leave the ring. The third round ends and he hugs Enriko Kehl, then he pays respect to Kehl’s corner. Then you see fight highlights until it is time hear the decision at which point it doesn’t seem like Buakaw is in the ring anymore. The decision is announced and they indicate an extra round is needed. With Buakaw no longer in the ring the ring announcer states that Buakaw has left the building and therefore forfeited his title to Kehl. What is strange is that at no point do the announcers acknowledge that Buakaw is leaving the ring. There are several reports that Buakaw stormed out of the ring because of the decision, but this video definitely does not show that. Definitely very strange ending, but watch for yourself and give us your thoughts.

K-1 World MAX Final Results: Buakaw loses to Khel in final

The K-1World MAX Finals took place today in Pattaya, Thailand. Buakaw Banchamek and Enriko Kehl met in the finals of the tournament and their fight ended controversy. Buakaw and Kehl put on an entertaining show through three rounds with neither fighter backing down. It was not the most technically sound fight, but it was definitely exciting, but it probably seemed to be in the favor Buakaw. When the third round ended the bout was declared a draw and set to go to a fourth round to decide the winner. Buakaw walked out of the ring which in return forced the bout to be ruled a win for Kehl with Buakaw being disqualified. The ring announcer stated that Buakaw had left the building. The official result was disqualification by forfiet. It is not known as to why Buakaw left the ring or the arena. He seemed perfectly fine as soon as the bout ended. This is definitely not the way fans expected this bout to end.

In other action on the night Paul Daley defeated Mohammad Ghaedibardeh by decision. Daley has made a nice transition back into Kickboxing after spending several years fighting MMA including stints with Strikeforce and the UFC.
