The King of Kickboxing, Rico Verhoeven will return to the Glory ring at Glory 41 Holland.
The event was set to be headlined by a bout between Robin van Roosmalen and Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao, but with the announcement of Verhoeven fighting on the card they are now the headlining fight of the Super Fight Series.
Verhoeven last fought at Glory Collision this past December in the highly anticipated bout against Badr Hari, which he won by second round (T)KO.
The 27 year old dutch striker has won his last six fights, with four of the those wins coming within the distance. Five of those six fights have been title defenses of his Glory heavyweight belt. The last time Verhoeven lost was in January of 2015 when he dropped a decision to Andrey Gerasimchuk at Kunlun Fight. Since then he has looked unstoppable.
There is no word as to who he will be fighting, but Benjamin Adegbuyi won the Glory heavyweight contender tournament this past November at Glory 35. If he gets to fight Verhoeven is still to be seen, he has already lost twice to Verhoeven in the Glory ring. The latest was a first round knock out at Glory 26 Amsterdam.
The only other bout confirmed for the event at the moment besides the two title fights is Michael Duut vs. Mourad Bouzidi. It will take place on the Super Fight Series portion of Glory 41.
All of the action goes down at the Brabanthallen Exhibition Centre in Den Bosch, Netherlands on Saturday, May 20.
