Thai Fight League 62 took place today at World Siam Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The main event and co-event delivered some spectacular knockouts.
In the main event, 22-year-old Yodpayak Numthonthep was taking on 33-year-old Kiatpetch Suan-Arhan Peekmai. The younger Yodpayak wanted to make a statement against Kiatpetch, but age beat youth in this one. The fight started fairly even, with both fighters looking to pick their shots and feel their opponent out a bit. Kiatpetch began trying to land his left high kick, which would eventually pay off when he connected flush with one that shut Yodpayak’s lights out. It was a beautiful first-round knockout for Kiatpetch.
In the co-main event, Petchluecha Chor. Haphayuk was a man on a mission against Saman Moradi. He came out looking focused and, early in the first round, dropped Moradi with a strong left punch. After Moradi beat the count, he went on the offensive as Petchluecha tried to close in on him to finish the fight. Eventually, another left from Petchluecha put Moradi down, and the referee had seen enough after he stood up on wobbly legs. Petchluecha put on an excellent performance in securing the first-round knockout.
