Glory 29 took place in Copenhagen, Denmark and featured a welterweight title fight as well as a heavyweight contender tournament.
In the night’s main event Nieky Holzken continued his dominance over the Glory welterweight division. The champion out pointed Yohann Kongolo for five rounds to make the second defense of his title. Holzken has now won 10 consecutive fights and is undefeated in the Glory ring.
In the night’s heavyweight contender tournament, Ismael Londt made a successful debut for the promotion. He defeated Anderson Silva by unanimous decision in the tournament semi-finals and then Jahfarr Wilnis by split decision in the tournament final.
In other action Glory featherweight champion Serhiy Adamchuk stepped up on two days notice to replace Niclas Larsen against Mohammed El-Mir. Kudos must go to Adamchuk for taking a fight on such short notice, especially considering he the champion. He was able to out strike El-Mir to win a unanimous decision.
