Bellator announces Bellator Kickboxing

Bellator Kickboxing

Bellator 152 is set to feature Kickboxing fights on April 16th in Italy. It has now been revealed that it will not just be part of Bellator MMA, but a whole new Kickboxing promotion with the announcement of Bellator Kickboxing today.

The announcement came today as part of the Bellator 149 press conference. Bellator President Scott Coker is familiar with Kickboxing having promoted K-1 and Strikefoce before. It makes perfect sense for him to step back into Kickboxing with the backing of Bellator.

Last year Bellator: Dynamite featured both MMA and Kickboxing bouts which was co-promoted with Glory while they were on Spike TV, but now that Glory is no longer with the network it seems that Spike wants to further their combat sports reach.

Fighters who are expected to fight for Bellator Kickboxing include Joe Schilling, Raymond Daniels, and Kevin Ross.
