Second chances don’t come often, but for anyone who did not try out for “In Search of America’s Muay Thai Team” the first time you have just received your second chance. The reality TV show which is being produced by Atma’Sphere Entertainment and the International Muay Thai Federation (IMTF) has recently added a second date of auditions for the show. Those who did not try out for the initial audition have one last chance to try and make the training camp portion of the show.
The second audition will be held Friday, August 26th at Double Dose Muay Thai in Fontana, CA. Those that are selected to advance after the tryouts will then be shuttled with the fighters that made it past the first audition to a secret location for a two day training camp which will run August 27th and August 28th.
Training Camps will be held throughout September as the field of fighters is narrowed down to roughly 20. At that point the 20 prospects that remain will begin to receive financial compensation so they will not need to worry about taking fights and they can focus on training and making the team.
Those flying in for the second audition should fly into Ontario Airport in Ontario, CA and it is recommended they stay at the Comfort Inn in Fontana, CA. A special rate is available at the Comfort Inn for fighters that mention that they are trying out for the team and are part of the show. Transportation will be provided to the hotel from the airport if the fighter has flown into Ontario, as well as from the hotel to the tryouts.
For the training camp all fighters should meet at the Comfort Inn, as they will be transported from there to the secret location where food and lodging will be provided. Any fighter with special dietary needs should contact Don McDaniels at the e-mail contact form on the Muay Thai in America website.
