Petition to have the CSAC allow fighters to wear the Pra Jiad (armband) during fights

Muay Thai Authority and Namman Muay have teamed up and started a petition to have the CSAC (California State Athletic Commission) allow fighters to wear the Pra Jiad (armband) during fights.
The CSAC will no longer allow any fighters to wear a Pra Jiad (armband) during fights. Fighters will only be allowed to wear them during their entrance and the wai kru, but it must be removed for the fight. It was enforced during March and most recently at the Songkran Festival on April 3rd.

In the past, their use was to give confidence and luck to the athletes. Many fighters to this day wear them during their fights, but unfortunately due to the CSAC they are no longer allowed. They are not just worn for decoration, they are part of tradition, and by accepting their removal we are accepting the dilution of Muay Thai Culture.

Take action now by clicking on sign petition on the right side of the site. We have to let them know we don’t want Muay Thai diluted. All signatures are verified they will not show up until verified, so do not worry if you don’t see the number change immediately. We have a better chance of getting this decision by the CSAC changed if we all stick together. We appreciate every ones support.
